CARF International Accreditation

Gateway Human Services is proud to be accredited by CARF International, an independent, nonprofit accreditor of health and human services organizations. CARF accreditation is official recognition that our organization is guided by internationally recognized standards and best practices. It involves ongoing consultation and in-depth on-site reviews designed to help us provide the highest quality of care to the people we serve.

Earning and maintaining CARF accreditation demonstrates our commitment to reducing risk, addressing health and safety, respecting the rights and individual preferences of the people we support, and remaining accountable to our community. It reflects a commitment, shared by everyone on our family-run team, to continuous quality improvement.

Gateway Human Services has earned a Three-Year Accreditation from CARF International for the following programs and services: Alternative Family Living, Community Networking, and Respite. A Three-Year Accreditation is the highest level of accreditation CARF awards.

Medicaid Network Participation

Gateway Human Services is a contracted provider in the Vaya Partners network. Vaya Partners, formed by the merger of Partners Health Management and Vaya Health, is the public health plan that manages Medicaid and state-funded services for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities, mental health needs, and substance use disorders in our region.
